Rochdale brewery brings Retro Range of cask ales to The Baum this Friday

A cask ale brewery now based in Rochdale is inviting local drinkers to sample three of its beers at The Baum this Friday.

Coley's Brewery has relocated to Fieldhouse Industrial Estate after previously brewing in Salford, bringing its cask ale production to Rochdale.

This Friday, three beers from the brewery's Retro Range will be pouring at The Baum, giving local real-ale drinkers an opportunity to try the Rochdale-produced beers in one of the town's best-known pubs.

The Retro Range is described by the brewery as a celebration of some of the most successful and recognisable beer styles of the past 60 years, combining traditional cask brewing with a deliberately nostalgic approach to British beer.

The brewery's owner is encouraging residents to head over to The Baum, say hello and support locally produced real ale.

The arrival of Coley's Brewery at Fieldhouse Industrial Estate adds another independent producer to Rochdale's food and drink scene and means beer brewed within the borough can now make the relatively short journey from the brewery to local pumps.

Independent breweries have played an important role in the revival of cask and craft beer across Greater Manchester, with pubs increasingly offering locally produced alternatives alongside national brands. For smaller breweries, getting beers onto pumps in established pubs provides an important opportunity to introduce their products to new customers and build a following close to home.

Three beers from Coley's Brewery's Retro Range will be available at The Baum in Rochdale on Friday 14 August. Availability will depend on stocks at the venue.
