Residents urged to attend Greenvale planning meeting as decision nears

Residents opposed to the proposed Greenvale development in Bamford are being encouraged to attend next week's Planning Committee meeting, where councillors are expected to consider the application for housing on land south of Greenvale. Campaigners say a strong public turnout will demonstrate the level of local concern surrounding the proposal.

The application, reference 25/00405/FUL, is listed as Item 7 on the agenda for Rochdale Borough Council's Planning Committee meeting on Wednesday, 5 August. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6pm, with the Greenvale application expected to be considered during the evening.

The appeal has been organised by the Bamford Green Belt Action Group and supported by the Save Bamford Greenbelt campaign, which has urged residents to attend the meeting regardless of whether they intend to speak.
