Maggie’s Oldham Announces Culture Crawl Fundraiser from Oldham to Rochdale

Maggie’s Oldham is inviting locals to participate in its annual Culture Crawl on Saturday, September 26, which aims to raise funds for individuals living with cancer and their families. This year, the 10-kilometre walk will start in Oldham and finish at the iconic Rochdale Town Hall, marking the first time the event will include Rochdale in its route.

Participants will have the opportunity to explore local history, culture, and community spirit along the way. The event promises a day filled with entertainment, food, and opportunities to engage with the unique stories of the two boroughs. Registration will begin at 12pm at The Loom, where walkers will gather before setting off towards Rochdale.

Sharon Furlong, whose husband has received support from Maggie’s Oldham during his cancer journey, expressed the significance of the event, stating, "Taking part in Maggie’s Culture Crawl this year means so much to me." Every penny raised will go directly towards supporting those affected by cancer, ensuring that Maggie’s can continue to provide vital services.
