Man Arrested Following Death of Woman in Milnrow Farm Fire

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a woman in a fire at a farm in Milnrow. The incident took place on Friday, July 3, at Higher Tunshill Farm, located off Tunshill Lane.

Emergency services, including police, firefighters and paramedics, were called to the scene at around 12.30pm. Upon arrival, they discovered the body of a woman inside the stables. The victim has since been named as Laura Foulis, aged in her 30s.

Following the incident, a man in his 40s was taken into custody by Greater Manchester Police. He has since been bailed pending further investigation. A spokesperson for Rochdale Coroners' Court confirmed that a referral has been made regarding Ms Foulis' death, and an inquest will be opened at a later date.
