Mother Arrested After Violent Incident at Milnrow Cricket Club

A 39-year-old woman from Heywood has been arrested following a violent incident at Milnrow Cricket Club on April 2. Tara Hulme, known for her TikTok presence under the handle 'Heffer2020', was reportedly found drunkenly slumped in her seat at the club, prompting staff to ask her to leave.

According to Tameside Magistrates' Court, after being asked to exit the premises, Hulme became aggressive, slapping the bar manageress and spitting at two other staff members. The court heard that she also kicked a barmaid in the knee and punched another woman outside the pavilion, causing visible injury.

The incident escalated when a male club member intervened to stop the violence. Witnesses reported that families, including children, were present during the altercation, raising concerns about the safety of patrons at the family-friendly venue. One victim expressed feeling vulnerable and shocked by the incident, particularly given that it occurred in a workplace setting.

Hulme has a history of violence, with 19 previous offences, including an assault conviction from 2009. During the court proceedings, she claimed to have a 'vague' recollection of the events. The case highlights ongoing concerns regarding public safety in community spaces, particularly where families gather.
