Families looking for an autumn day out won't have far to travel as The Patchworks Interactive Pumpkin Patch and Autumn Festival returns to nearby Castleton with pumpkin picking, games, food and seasonal entertainment.
Autumn is just around the corner and one of the Peak District's newest family attractions is preparing to welcome visitors from across Greater Manchester.
The Patchworks Interactive Pumpkin Patch and Autumn Festival will return to Castleton throughout October, offering a traditional pumpkin-picking experience alongside interactive games, seasonal activities, marshmallow toasting, food, drinks and plenty of opportunities for those all-important autumn photographs. The attraction is expected to operate across selected dates from early October until Halloween.
Located at the foot of Winnats Pass near Castleton, the attraction is less than an hour's drive from Rochdale, making it an ideal day trip for families during weekends and the October half-term holidays.
Visitors will be able to choose their own pumpkins directly from the patch before enjoying a range of family-friendly activities designed for children and adults alike. Organisers are also promising refreshments, hot drinks, sweet treats and seasonal food throughout the event. Advance online booking is available and is recommended for the busiest dates.
Pumpkin patches have become one of Britain's fastest-growing seasonal attractions, offering an alternative to traditional Halloween events while encouraging families to spend time outdoors together.
