Warning issued after damaged footbridge discovered near Paper House in Norden

Walkers are being urged to take extra care after part of the footbridge near the Paper House in Norden was found to have been damaged.

A wooden plank on the bridge has snapped in half, creating a potential trip hazard for anyone crossing, particularly during busy periods or in poor light. Residents using the route are being advised to slow down, watch their footing and take extra care until repairs can be carried out.

The bridge forms part of a popular walking route used by local residents, dog walkers and visitors exploring the countryside around Norden. With the area attracting large numbers of people during the summer months, the damage could present a risk if left unattended.
