Rochdale's biggest annual music event returns next weekend, with thousands of visitors expected to descend on the town centre for the 2026 Feel Good Festival. Now celebrating its 15th edition, the Feel Good Festival has grown from a small local music event into one of the highlights of the borough's cultural calendar. Previous festivals have welcomed acts including Ocean Colour Scene, Razorlight, Feeder, The Coral, Scouting For Girls, The Fratellis, Heather Small, Cast, Toploader, Badly Drawn Boy, The Feeling, The Lightning Seeds and The Beat, attracting visitors from across the North West and providing a welcome boost to Rochdale's hospitality and retail sectors.

This year's main stage takes place in the stunning surroundings of the newly restored Rochdale Town Hall Square on Saturday, 8 August. She is joined by Ash, Starsailor, funk and soul outfit The Allergies and Manchester indie rising star Alex Spencer, with additional performances throughout the day and live entertainment continuing across numerous indoor venues around the town centre. Most indoor performances remain completely free, with only the main stage requiring a ticket.

Festival organisers have continued their commitment to making the event affordable. Early bird tickets sold out quickly at £15 before subsequent release phases increased to £25, £30, £35 and the final allocation at £45 plus booking fees. VIP upgrades remain available for those wanting premium viewing areas and additional hospitality. Every ticket includes a reusable festival cup as part of the organisers' ongoing efforts to reduce single-use plastics.

Entertainment begins from 11.30am and continues until approximately 10.45pm, with the main stage located in Rochdale Town Hall Square. Food has become almost as popular as the music in recent years, with dozens of traders expected to serve everything from gourmet burgers and wood-fired pizzas to Asian street food, desserts and locally produced refreshments. Although organisers have not published official bar prices, visitors should expect festival-standard pricing broadly comparable with similar outdoor events across Greater Manchester. Outside alcohol is not permitted inside the main stage arena, although sealed soft drinks and water may be allowed subject to festival rules. Visitors are encouraged to support local independent food and drink traders operating throughout the event.

The weather currently looks favourable for festival-goers, with forecasts suggesting a mostly sunny day, light winds and temperatures reaching around 19°C. While conditions can always change, current forecasts indicate comfortable weather for spending the day outdoors, although organisers still recommend bringing sunscreen, drinking plenty of water and packing a light waterproof just in case the British summer has other ideas.
