Service Changes on Rochdale Line Due to Planned Works
Planned track renewal works on the Rochdale line will affect tram services from 15 to 28 August, with bus replacements in place.

Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) has announced that planned works will disrupt tram services on the Rochdale line from Saturday 15 August to Friday 28 August. During this period, a bus replacement service will operate between affected stops to ensure continued travel for passengers.
Additionally, on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 August, works will take place in Manchester city centre, specifically at Manchester Town Hall. As a result, no trams will operate via Exchange Square, with services on the East Didsbury and Trafford Centre lines rerouted via Market Street and Shudehill instead.
Passengers are advised to plan their journeys accordingly, as these changes may affect travel times. Essential improvement works will also be taking place at Prestwich Metrolink stop from Monday 18 May to Wednesday 19 August, although tram services will not be directly affected at this location.
For those requiring step-free access, the lifts at Failsworth tram stop are currently out of service, and passengers are advised to travel to Hollinwood to connect to services. Customers needing assistance can contact the Metrolink customer service centre at 0161 244 1000, available from 7am to 8pm on weekdays and 8am to 8pm on weekends and bank holidays.
