The lavishly decorated chamber is one of the Town Hall's lesser-seen spaces and has its own collection of stories from the building's long history.

Rochdale Town Hall is now offering dedicated Court Chamber Tours, giving residents and visitors the opportunity to experience the historic room up close and learn more about the role it has played over the years.

The tours are aimed at everyone from local-history enthusiasts and architecture lovers to people who have simply wondered what lies behind some of the Town Hall's less familiar doors.

The chamber forms part of the wider heritage of Rochdale Town Hall, which reopened following a major restoration project designed to conserve the Grade I-listed building and reveal more of its historic interiors to the public.
