The Summit Inn reopens with new menu featuring pub classics and homemade favourites

The Summit Inn has reopened its doors with a new menu packed with traditional pub favourites, homemade dishes and lighter lunch options.

The refreshed offering includes starters and light bites from £6, with homemade soup of the day served with bread and butter. Other starters include a black pudding stack with potato cake, poached egg and English mustard sauce for £8.50; chicken liver pâté with cranberry sauce and toast for £8; garlic mushrooms on toasted sourdough for £8.50; lamb koftas with roasted red pepper houmous and pitta for £8.50; traditional prawn cocktail for £8.50; Cajun chicken skewers for £7.50; and chicken tenders for £7.95.

A selection of cold sandwiches is priced at £7, served on white or brown bloomer with a dressed salad garnish. Fillings include roast ham and English mustard, roast beef and horseradish, roast turkey and stuffing, tuna mayonnaise, and savoury cheese and onion. Diners can add a small bowl of homemade soup for £4 or homemade chips or skinny fries for £3.

The hot sandwich menu includes a classic BLT for £11, while a braised steak sandwich with slow-cooked beef, onion gravy and fries is £13. A triple-decker chicken and bacon club and a tuna melt are also £13, with toasted home-cooked ham and cheddar or cheddar and tomato sandwiches priced at £12.

For those looking for something lighter, salads include a £12.95 Ploughman's Lunch with homemade pâté, cheese, home-cooked ham, mixed salad, apple, celery, onion chutney and crusty bread. Chicken and bacon salad, chicken Caesar salad and halloumi salad are also available at £12.95.

The new menu combines familiar pub dishes with several homemade elements and gives customers options ranging from a bowl of soup or sandwich through to a more substantial lunch.

The reopening brings another food option back into service for residents and visitors, with the Summit Inn welcoming customers to try the new menu.
