Ignite Fire Festival Returns to Rochdale from 20-22 November 2026

The Ignite Fire Festival is set to return to Rochdale for three evenings of entertainment from Friday, 20 November to Sunday, 22 November 2026. Organisers have promised that this year's festival will be bigger and better than its inaugural event in 2023, featuring new dazzling trails and attractions.

The festival will transform the square and gardens around Rochdale Town Hall, including new pathways and parkland on Broadfield Slopes. Each evening will showcase free night-time spectacular shows, delivering immersive trails of fire, lights, and sound. Last year's event attracted over 10,000 attendees, and this year’s festival is expected to draw even larger crowds.

Among the highlights will be fiery displays, blazing sculptures, and an illuminated installation created by the award-winning outdoor arts specialists Walk the Plank. Attendees can also look forward to interactive performances from Travelling Light Circus, which will return to the festival after last year's success. A Christmas lights switch-on will coincide with the festival on the final evening, adding to the festive atmosphere.

Further details about the festival will be announced in October, but the confirmed attractions already promise an exciting experience for families and visitors. Councillor Sue Smith, cabinet member for communities and co-operation at Rochdale Borough Council, expressed enthusiasm for the event, highlighting its role in bringing the community together and celebrating local culture.
