Summer makeover under way at St Mary’s CE Primary School in Rochdale

St Mary’s CE Primary School in Rochdale is a hive of activity this summer as improvement works continue across key areas of the school ahead of pupils returning in September.

Watergrove Trust says both the school hall and reception classroom are being given a makeover during the summer break, including the installation of new ceilings and acoustic baffles.

The works are designed to refresh the learning environment and improve the spaces used by pupils, staff and the wider school community.

The Trust said: “It’s all happening at St. Mary’s CE Primary School, Rochdale this summer; a real hive of activity as the hall and reception class are both having a makeover including new ceilings and acoustic baffles.

“We can’t wait to see the finished spaces in September as we continue to provide more for our community.”

St Mary’s CE Primary School has served the Rochdale community for more than 150 years and is part of the Watergrove Trust, which brings together schools across the borough with a shared focus on school improvement and community provision.

The latest summer works continue that investment, with the refurbished spaces expected to be ready for the start of the new academic year in September.
